چکیده
Abstract Herein, we analyzed the morphology of atmospheric plasma-sprayed (APS) coating on medical 316L stainless steel and its influence physical electrochemical properties implant application. Five types coatings were examined: hydroxyapatite (HAp), titanium (Ti), zirconium (Zr), Ti/HAp Zr/HAp. The base via chemical phase composition, surface topography, wettability in particular corrosion resistance Ringer solution immersed conditions potentiodynamic test, EIS analysis. APS pure HAp showed poor cohesive bonding to substrate material, whereas application Ti Zr interlayer prior deposition improved properties. beneficial effect under layer binding was demonstrated. containing (HAp, Zr/HAp) show Ca/P ratio greater than 1.8, which may positively differentiation osteogenic cells good adhesion bones. Among studied materials, composite with or Zr/HAp favorable physicochemical highest solution.

The enormous demands for metal implant have given rise to a search for cheap material with good bio-tolerability and resistance to corrosion. Although stainless steel has these properties and is widely used for this purpose, its long term application is still a concern. The corrosion resistance of stainless steel depends on the passive layer. Herein, chemical surface treatment, including passiv...
